Just back from New York attending BlogHer 2010! Being my first blogging conference, I had no idea what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised with my experience. With over 2,000 bloggers descending on the Hilton New York, I am pretty sure we each had our own unique experiences. Thought I would share the ten things I loved about BlogHer 2010.
10 Things I LOVED About BlogHer 2010:
1. Meeting the ladies I follow and who follow me on Twitter. It’s always good (in most cases) to meet the people you converse with online at some point.
2.Connecting with other mom bloggers and sharing our stories. Learning why and what other women blog about was fascinating to me.
3. Realizing the power that mom bloggers have in the world on many different topics; politics, social media marketing, community outreach and more. The topics and causes are endless.
4. Meeting Mouthy Housewives Party. Learning their personal stories about coping with children with special needs touched my heart. Both women amazed me and I highly recommend reading their blogs.
That night also rocked because I finally got to meet one of my new online friends – Danielle from @luckylifeparty. Yup – we met on Twitter too!
6. Meeting Tamra Barney! Sorry, but I am a Real Housewives addict and this was one the best moments of the entire weekend. She was so nice and down to earth. It turns out I actually like her much better in person. Tamra was at BlogHer representing Quickie.
After snapping this pic, all I could think about was – why didn’t I wear heels? We’re the same height! LOL
8. Best Swag was a pair of MiracleBody jeans! Robert Verdi was repping the brand, styling all the crazy ladies there for the free jeans. You have never seen anything like bloggers trying on jeans in tight spaces.
Thanks to Audrey and Vera for hosting an incredible Getting Gorgeous event. If you were there and didn’t take the jeans – you were crazy!
9. Attending a social media session with panelists Beth Blecherman (aka Tech Mamas). Oh wow – learned so much!
10. Returning home to my sweet girls and my awesome husband who was on his own four days straight and managed to attend two birthday parties.

Thanks for this awesome recap! Sounds like it was very informative and fun! I haven't been blogging very long but am considering going to the conference in San Diego next year. What do you think? Would you recommend it? Any things I need to consider?

Great wrap up! Super jealous that you met Tamra and Robert! I am a complete Real Housewives junkie myself (did I just say that out loud?) I really enjoyed meeting you…love it when you just hit it off with someone. We are going out on the town if I come to Chicago in the fall. xoxo

Thank you for your comments. I love when sassy moms stop by! BlogHer was extremely helpful and taught me a great deal.
The best part was all the women I met and contacts I made. This was by far the smartest investment I made this year!
Attending BlogHer has inspired me to take my site to the next level and attend other blogging conferences. Two great sites I use to locate these are http://www.blogconferenceguide.com/

I am definitely going next year and so should you!

I have been kicking myself that I didn’t take the jeans. Everyone loved them. I just kept thinking “I have jeans. Do I really need more jeans?” Man, was I wrong. It was really great meeting you and sharing a cab.
