It’s two weeks until Blog Her ’10 Conference (which is sold out) and I just started thinking about my schedule and purchased my flight today. This is a little pathetic considering I registered in February.
Because I am a Blog Her virgin, I had no idea that the parties are the place to be and meet fellow attendees. After spending 4 hours researching all the open and private brand parties I realized I could not locate my confirmation for the actual conference. Bring on the anxiety attack for 20 minutes as I try to find proof of payment. Luckily, disaster was averted when I located the charge on my credit card statement.
Back to the parties…I am officially waitlisted for the parties that are most appealing to me (along with hundreds of other fabulous ladies). It dawned on me that the benefit of registering five months ago basically went out the door considering I didn’t read each and every email thoroughly from Blog Her organizers. As a meeting and event planner, I despise attendees like myself.
To my defense I had no idea there were so many private events that required separate invitations. Honestly, there is so much going on over the course of three nights and two days it will make your head spin.
Watch out 2011, I will know better next time.
I did pay attention after reading several months ago that attendees should make contact with their Twitter followers before leaving home. Thankfully I “know” several who are attending and have been tweeting with them regularly.
A few of my tweeps to follow that are attending Blog Her 10. I just hope I can meet them in person at some point.

I did register for some parties, but haven't planned any schedule yet! Not sure how many days I'll be there.
I'm looking forward to meeting you. I also want to meet @thegotomom. I think that she is speaking at a session.
