- Eat 5 to 6 smaller meals throughout the day. When you don´t eat you are actually punishing your body. When you eat many times during the day, it will speed your metabolism and helps to burn fat faster. Choose wisely your meals with nutrients and proteins that are good for you like fruits, vegetables and grains.
- Don’t forget to drink enough water throughout the day. This time of year, due to weather and commitments we tend to go hours without drinking a drop of water. Hydration is so important for slimming down.
- Party hopping? Plan to do something healthy beforehand. Whether that’s going for a 30 minute walk or a quick run, being active helps transport sugar to weak muscles. Think about it, if you do something good for yourself, the odds are you won’t get out of control at the party to mess up your workout from hours earlier.
- Make sure to stay away from the junk food and offer to bring a healthy dish at the party so you can snack and have a good time all at the same time.
- Last but not least, remember you are what you eat. Respect yourself and your body this holiday season and start the New Year on a healthy note.
