Thank you Kitchfix for sponsoring this post.
Thanks to our readers for supporting brands that make So Chic Life possible!
On Sunday I spend time creating a weekly meal plan. Without this extra step of planning, family dinners will quickly go downhill by Wednesday night and a fast food run starts to look tempting.
As much as I love to prepare Kitchfix, Chicago’s healthy food delivery service comes in handy.
Since moving to a food dessert where very few restaurants offer delivery service, I was starting to lose all hope. And I’m not confident the food we’re eating from these establishments is sourced locally and most likely not organic.
Thanks to my friends at Windy City Blogger Collective for introducing me to Kitchfix Chicago – all this has changed. When they first told me about the service, I tried to contain my excitement – delivery is based on your zip code. Was it too good to be true?
Lucky for me, city dwellers and Chicago suburbanites, we now have access to a healthy food delivery service offering Paleo, gluten-free, dairy-free, anti-inflammatory and organic options.
Ingredients you won’t find in Kitchfix Food: Gluten, Dairy, Corn, and Soy, Factory-Farmed Meat, Poultry and Seafood, Genetically Modified Foods, Artificial Flavors, Preservatives, and Chemicals, Processed Grains, Refined Sugars and Industrialized Vegetable Oils.
If you follow me on Facebook, I posted this amazing Thai Coconut Curry Soup last week. I made the mistake of tasting the soup before photographing and then adding the entire container of rice {comes separately}, which is why it looks more like a stew than soup.
Loaded with chunks of organic chicken breast, butternut squash, mushrooms and the coconut curry broth – amazing! Hands down more flavorful and healthier than any restaurant take-out.
Kitchfix changes their menu weekly so I’m really hoping it comes back because I am still dreaming about it!
Oh if every morning they were all smiles and breakfast was fun. On this particular day it had everything to do with Kitchfix Paleo Blueberry muffins. Clueless to the fact these were grain-free and basically tasted like a mini cake. Four muffins were included in the large size for $11.95. {198 cal – Fat 14 g, Carb 13 g, Sugar 3 g, Protein 5 g}
I tried the Paleo Walnut muffins in our second Kitchfix order which were equally just a good. Both options were moist and flavorful but the best part was it saved so much time in the morning. A great option for breakfast and after school snacks.
What impressed me the most about Kitchfix is their commitment to providing prepared meals with high-quality ingredients from local, all natural and organic sources. It’s also a game changer for people deal with food allergies or dietary restrictions like gluten, dairy, corn and soy.
Entree pricing ranges between $9-$19, depending on the meal and its size. Other meals and snacks range between $5-$12.
It’s easy to order online using their delivery service within the city or Chicago suburbs or you can stop by one of their local locations or use the hub delivery service for $1.00.
How to get your Kitchfix
It’s really simple and takes just a few minutes.
- To view the full Kitchfix menu, enter your Zip Code
- Select a preferred delivery type {free pick up, hub or home delivery}
- Set up your Kitchfix Account
- Peruse the menu selecting from healthy meals, Paleo granola, yogurt, side dishes, salads, detoxing juices and more!
- Process payment
- BOOM! Wait for your food delivery to arrive.
- Reheat like a champ! Warm in the oven using an oven proof dish, sauté in a pan on the stove top, microwave 3-4 minutes in the container or on a plate.
- Bon Appetit!
It’s important to note that salads, seafood and juices are best consumed within 2 days.
Freezing meals is an option but do so right away if you don’t plan to eat with 4 days. That means if your food arrives on Tuesday try to consume by Thursday, any later than that I would freeze.
Deliveries twice a week are available and the second deliver is complimentary!!
Did I mention they have prepared meals for the kiddos? I ordered the perfectly portioned Kids Almond Chicken strips that came with baked sweet potato fries and fresh green beans. Tomorrow the girls are having a daddy daughter date while I’ll be enjoying wine paired with a Kitchfix Paleo meal -Chimichurri Beef with cauliflower mash and steamed veggies. Not bad for a Friday night in.
If you’re living a busy life like the me, I hope you’ll give Kitchfix a try. It truly was a time saver and delicious.

What if I don’t have gluten issues? I am a single person that wants prepared meals because I have a hectic schedule and don’t want to eat fast food or restaurant every night.

They have other options too!
