Move over Bieber it’s time to bring back the girl and boy bands. Who knew how much I missed jamming out to a group of hot guys talented musicians performing in matching outfits, choreographed dances and synchronized hand movements?? Let me say when it comes to throwing down – 98°, O-Town, Ryan Cabrera and Dream – they’ve all still got it!
Lolla may have been in town this weekend but MY2K Tour. Not gonna lie when the invite hit my inbox, I busted out a serious happy dance. Yes – I know the words to pretty much all their songs because who doesn’t love a good flash back?
Here’s what you need to know….It wasn’t just about singing their own hits, O Town and 98° killed it with oldies but goodies even throwing down songs by Brittany Spears, Prince and N’ Sync.
We were invited to go backstage with VIP Meet & Greet ticket holders (available to upgrade here) and I took full advantage of my height challenge to cozy up to Nick Lachey. It’s like time stood still – everyone still looks like they did 15 years ago!
As far as any retro show goes My2K Tour pulls out all the stops taking us down memory lane. It was so much fun – we laughed (seriously good people watching), danced and sang – A LOT.
I was sad when it was all over and have come to the conclusion – we need to bring back the boy band! Here are few clips from the MY2K concert in Chicago {don’t mind me singing in the background}.
