Back to school while exciting for most students, can be costly when it comes to the long list of school supplies required for families and teachers to contribute. As much as my kids love the ritual of back to school shopping, between backpacks, lunch boxes, classroom supplies and clothes, the costs quickly add up for our family. It’s hard to imagine how difficult it is for those who can’t afford some of the necessities required to have a successful school year.

To help alleviate some of the back to school stress, Clorox is hosting a pop-up shop in Chicago September 7th at Douglas Taylor Elementary school. Local families and teachers can stop by and receive FREE back-to-school essentials like backpacks, pencils and notebooks, as well as Clorox, GLAD and Hidden Valley products.

The #BackToSchool Pop Up Shop was created to help children in need and to raise awareness about the cost of going back to school, including out-of-pocket expenses for teachers who provide supplies for their classroom out of their own paychecks.

Clorox Partners with DonorsChoose.org
