Starting the school year is hectic enough but imagine having to struggle to purchase all the back to school supplies. Clorox was in Chicago last week hosting a back to school supply pop-up shop at Douglas Taylor Elementary School. I had the opportunity to see their team in action and help distribute backpacks filled with supplies to students and Clorox products to teachers.

Students, parents, and teachers in the community stopped by and stocked up on the essentials to get excited about back to school — and it was all FREE.

I’m always thrilled to see companies give back and it really was an awesome event. They passed out more than 500 backpacks that day!

CLOROX GIVES $100,000 TO DONORSCHOOSE.ORG

Clorox wants to help make it possible for every student and teacher to have a clean, healthy classroom environment this year. In addition to hosting the pop up shop event, Clorox donated has $100,000 to DonorsChoose.org, a website that helps funds projects for classrooms in need.

As of today, the Clorox match offer of $100,000 has entirely spent out. Through this campaign, Clorox has supported 864 projects and ensured that more than 61,000 students will start off their year in clean and healthy classrooms.
