Like most new moms, becoming pregnant was one of the most exciting days of my life. I felt like I was fully prepared for what my future held, however the moment I saw THE pink plus sign, my mind started spinning.
At the time many of my friends were nowhere close to becoming pregnant much less thinking about babies and no one in my family with children lives in Chicago. After all the calls were made to announce to the world we were expecting, I was left to my own devices to determine how to handle the next 10 months.
Thankfully I had BabyCenter.com as a resource. I’m not sure how I found the site. I’m pretty sure I Googled “I’m pregnant now what”. Try it. BabyCenter appears on the first page which is no surprise considering they are the #1 interactive parenting network to over 100 million parents since 1997! That’s an impressive accomplishment.
BabyCenter was my lifeline during both pregnancies for all my questions, tracking our babies’ development, selecting names and connecting with an online community of expectant moms.
The highlight of every week, as well as husband’s, was BabyCenter’s pregnancy updates with detailed tracking of our daughter’s development in utero. Over the past four years, BabyCenter has been a guiding force providing me and husband with guidance for every milestone we reach and answers to some of the tough challenges we face.
