It’s not too often I allow myself or the kids to indulge. However, summer seems to be the perfect excuse and the best time to enjoy ice cream. In honor of Ciao Bella supporting our event at BlogHer this year, I decided it was time to put a few of their flavors to the test.
Loving all things sweet, Sassy Kids were up for the challenge. I first set out to purchase our contenders at our local Dominick’s which was sold out of almost every flavor. After searching every shelf of the frozen dessert sectionnoticing that Ciao Bella was the ONLY sold out brand.
Even more determined I called in backup. Husband set out for Whole Foods which thankfully had a much larger selection. Dark Chocolate Sorbet, Mango Sorbet, Tahitian Vanilla Gelato and Lemon Zest Sorbet made the cut. It was a tough choice with so many unique flavors!
Sassy Results:
Sassy Kid #1 – Mango Sorbet on camera. When the camera stopped rolling she surprisingly switched to Lemon Zest. Personally, I think it was an excuse to keep eating!
Sassy Kid #2 – Mango Sorbet hands down. Full on tantrum ensued once I was finally able to pry it out of her hands.
Sassy Mom – Dark Chocolate Sorbet without a doubt. I have never had such a decadent sorbet and loved that it was dairy free.
Needless to say our pints were devoured in less than a few days, which makes me even more excited about hanging with the Ciao Bella team in San Diego. We’ll be serving these decadent cocktails for our VIP guests.
