Moolagram - A New App for Chicago Connections

Chicagoans have access to a unique app that is unlike anything I’ve experienced. Moolagram connects you with your favorite local businesses like vfish, Sara Jane, Tribeca, Piggy Toes, Union Sushi, 312 Chicago, Pump It UP, photographers, personal training and more. They really believe in the power of mutual appreciation between a business and their ‘peeps.’

“Moolagrams” skip the clutter of my inbox by sending me notifications directly to my phone, that I control. I can choose which of my favorite places can send me exclusive news, offers and incentives. I can also turn the notifications off whenever I want, (but why would I??). It’s also a great way to support local business and be part of a growing community.

For example, a few weeks ago Sara Jane sent a “Moolagram” for $50 gift certificate to anyone that came to their boutique from 3 to 5 on a Saturday and spent $30 or more. My friend loves this boutique so I immediately shared it by emailing her through Moolagram. She received the email, downloaded the app and was able to take advantage of the offer too.

It’s not necessarily about the “deal”, but about Sara Jane connecting directly with me and showing appreciation for being a customer. I love that the deal was only available to Moolagram users and because SJ is near-by, made it convenient for me to pop in and take advantage of something I may have otherwise missed. It’s nice to be able to connect directly with a business rather than searching my inbox for latest coupon.
