Love to serve homemade, organic, gluten-free meals to your family but no time to cook? Or maybe you can’t even boil water. I have the perfect solution for ya – hire a personal chef!
Ok, yes I know what you’re thinking. That’s so expensive! Is it??
As much as I LOVE to cook there are nights when life gets in the way and I can’t seem to find the time or energy to prepare homemade Paleo meals for our family. In January I began publishing a weekly Paleo menu plan but soon realized there are still evenings when I’m tired and don’t have the energy.
While I love Paleo, it does require a little prep work.
A few years ago after learning that our neighbor had hired a chef to cook for her family twice per week, the idea seemed completely logical. She was off the hook for the night and had more time to spend with her family. Problem was, I needed someone that would create gluten-free, low carb, organic and now Paleo meals. I also like to know exactly what ingredients are being used and the thought of finding someone to prepare such specific meals, seemed impossible.
While searching for Paleo recipes, I stumbled across my savior – a Anti-Inflammatory Diet – a la Chef Josh. I was sure there was a catch, like it was beyond expensive but at this point I was willing to find out.
Our family tested out a few weeks of meals and haven’t look back. Entrees like Lemon Thyme Chicken with 10- vegetable Quinoa, Pork Carnitas, Grassfed Beef and Kale Chili and Paleo Lasagna, keep our family coming back for more. CJK Foods also offers speciality items like Vitamix Juice Smoothies and Paleo Granola.

What I love about CJK Foods is the food quality, convenience and cost. Each week I place my order via an online menu, select from ten locations in the city to pick up or delivery (suburbs coming soon) and pay via paypal. Takes less than 5 minutes. The most difficult part of the process? Deciding what meals to choose because it all looks amazing.
Paleo Pork Carnitas with Cauliflower Mash
Meals come portioned in medium ($12 each) or large ($15 each). After several weeks of experimenting, what works best for our family are (4) large meals, averaging $60 per week. This gives me two nights of food for me and my husband. Our girls are so picky that I let them try mine, but normally prepare something really simple for them or it’s their “I pick” night so it’s usually gluten-free pasta and broccoli.

Meals can be easily heated in the microwave or I prefer the oven on 250/300.
The best part is there are no long term commitments or recurring payments to worry about. If you’re feeling overwhelmed preparing meals every night or spending an exorbitant amount of money ordering out (that was us), give CJK Foods a try. You’ll be amazed how the service says you time, money and reduces waste (no more throwing out spoiled veggies you forgot to cook or leftovers you’re family refused to eat). After a week, you’ll be hooked!
