I have such a love/hate relationship with my finger nails. Obviously it’s always nice to have them polished – who doesn’t love a fresh mani? But, I cannot stand when they start to chip.
And chip happens.
I’m usually guaranteed to have some sort of chipping by day three of any polish application. So when Jamberry Nail wraps, I knew I had to give them a try!
Jamberry Nail wraps are different from traditional nail polish because they’re basically a sticker that goes on your nails – there is no drying. They are known for not chipping and they are 100% non toxic.
After applying the Midnight Celebration wraps to my finger nails and wearing them for a week, here’s my thoughts:
Jamberry Nail Wrap Pros:
- During the application process, I had to stop and change a dirty diaper – go figure. Unlike nail polish, nothing got smudged. Everything stayed in place.
- After a week’s wear, not a nail has chipped. The only noticeable wear and tear is on the very tips of the nails.
- Jamberry Nails come in dozens of designs.
Jamberry Nail Wrap Cons:
- It takes a little practice to apply the wrap. In fact, I was sent a few samples and applied them to my daughter’s nails before doing my own. I bet that the next time I apply the wraps, I’ll be a pro.
- My wraps look a little wrinkled on some fingers around the nail edges and tips.
Usually when I paint my own nails, I’m doing so during my lunch break – forget about having wet nails while I’m at home with the kids! So between the flexibility with the application process and the end result, I’d use Jamberry nail wraps again.
A few tips to consider:
- Make sure to check out the Jamberry Nails application and removal videos.
- You will need some sort of heat source to activate the glue on the wraps. I used a blow dryer.
- If having designs on all your finger nails seems too much, consider wrapping one “statement” finger on each hand and paint the other fingers in a matching solid color. Or, use the wraps on your toe nails.
So how about you, Sassy reader. Have you tried Jamberry nails? Would you give them a try?
