By now you know that I am against bringing toxic cleaners into my home and that we use homemade cleaners. I hate to tell you that bleach is the devil as well as most of everything you buy from retailers. Yes even those “green” cleaners labeled “natural” have hidden chemicals. A general rule of thumb – if you can’t pronounce the ingredient it’s probably not good for your skin or clothing.

This is why I am soooo excited to tell you about Puretergent and why it is the real deal. Last week I attended a media event introducing the product and had the opportunity to meet founder, Julia Fry. Prior to the event I was sent samples to test, however because I am so skeptical of all cleaning brands, I decided to wait until I could ask more questions.

With nothing available on the market, she developed her own. And her journey wasn’t a walk in the park. I wan’t surprised to learn she faced  many challenges manufacturing a product without all those nasty chemicals. Julia shared with me that she decided to look back at the way we cleaned fabrics long before what is currently on the market.

Her formulation eventually led to Puretergent, a premium natural, plant-based laundry soap that is allergen-free, residue-free, scent-free, and formulated with eco-friendly stain-fighting botanicals. It is a biodegradable, petroleum-free system that delivers better results AND is better for you, leaving fabrics softer without stiff chemical residue. You will never find the bad stuff like chlorine, phosphates, dyes, optical brighteners, preservatives, thickeners, nonylphenol or alkylphenol ethoxylates (APE).
