Recently I shared my thoughts on exfoliating and I’ve shared my love for the Spa Sonic Face and Body Polisher – both play an important role in my skincare regimen. While I also incorporate salon grade chemical peels every 3-6 months, at home maintenance is critical.

Have you ever tried Microdermabrasion at a spa? It’s another great method for turning over dead skin cells. Like most spa treatments it can be pricey and sometimes it’s difficult to just find the time. We’re busy right?

Now there’s no excuse for finding time with derma-e Microdermabrasion Scrub – a wonderful salon alternative. Let me tell you this product works. With the first use I could immediately feel how much power this little bottle had.

With a salon-perfect formula derma-e Microdermabrasion Scrub uses exclusive crystal blend that includes Dead Sea Salt and Volcanic Sand to buff away dull surface cells, helps diminish the look of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars, and absorbs excess oils leaving skin visibly soft, smooth and younger-looking. Retexturizing skin and leaving it silky smooth.

But for it to work correctly you have to follow the instructions. After cleansing your face (I prefer to apply to skin that is completely dry), take a small amount and begin to rub gently over desired areas (aka your entire face).

Rub in an upward motion for 3 minutes, then rinse with warm water. If it’s too dry and sticky, wet your fingers to help soften the scrub and continue.

You must do this for 3 minutes. The first use I didn’t pay attention to the time and didn’t see much of a difference in my skin.

Setting my phone timer, the next use was a completely different experience! My skin was slightly red (but not in a bad way), pores were smaller, skin smoother and there was a definite change in hyperpigmenation.

It really did feel like a salon experience!
