This week April is sharing her Younique 3d fiber Mascara review.
I think long eyelashes are a wish on every woman’s list. Who doesn’t want thicker, longer lashes? Some people glue on falsies for that added length. I prefer a great mascara.
I had the chance to try out the 3D Fiber Mascara from Younique. This three-step system consists of a transplanting gel (which sounds strange but it’s actually the “glue” for the 2nd step), and natural fibers and promises to thicken and lengthen lashes naturally. Quick note on the fibers, they’re actually 100% natural fibers from green tea! Pretty interesting, huh?
The steps themselves are easy to follow. Apply one coat of your regular mascara (can’t be a volumizing mascara!). Then apply the transplanting gel, the natural fibers, and then follow up with another coat of transplanting gel. However, I found that the application part was a little tricky.
The three pictures of my eye show no mascara, with mascara, and after I applied the 3D Fibers. Even though the application in the last picture is messy looking, you can tell that some of my lashes did get lengthened with the product. I do have to say though, my eyelashes are already on the long side, and after testing the product more, the fibers were making my lashes so long that they were touching my eyelids.
I’d say if you’re afraid to put glue near your eyes like I am, skip the falsies and give the 3D Fiber mascara a try. If you are planning on using it for a special occasion, make sure you get plenty of practice before hand. And one final story to leave you with…I first tested this mascara out on a day we took the kids to a water park. Probably not the smartest move now that I think about it, but my lashes weren’t affected by the water at all! No raccoon eyes for me!
