Day two at BlogHer 2011 started bright and early with a 5k Run along the beautiful San Diego harbor. I’m not convinced we completed a full 5K, however we definitely looked sassy in our Champion Tees and Sprigsville Banjee wrist wallets. Thanks again to Andrea Fellman for hooking us up and coordinating Team Amazeballs. You’d never know we were all functioning on less than 4 hours of sleep!
Before I continue, I do need to take a moment and discuss the Banjee wrist wallets. You know those products out there that you say to yourself “Why didn’t I think of that?”
Well, this is that type of product. How many times have I gone for a long run along Lake Michigan trying to manage house keys, ID, cell phone and cash? Too many to count which is probably why I haven’t seen my running shoes in about 9 months.
Having this cool little accessory seriously motivates me enough to start running again. Once I get through all the BlogHer recaps, of course.
After our workout and a quick breakfast, it was time to hit the conference. I had planned to write an entire post about my conference attire as I take it very seriously. Unfortunately I ran out of time but I must give major fashion props to vfish designs. Thanks to my friend and designer Mandy Moise for sponsoring me.
I wasn’t surprised about the compliments I received on her dresses but that’s not why I was ecstatic to wear vfish. At first glance, I fell in love with the Quinn dress but I have a difficult time venturing away from my “standard” style and was hesitant to try it on. Spending an afternoon with Mandy at her Chicago boutique, she encouraged me to go for it and I was pleasantly surprised. Have no idea why this works, but it did and I love it. The Quinn spent the entire day and night escorting me around San Diego.

Touring the expo hall was loads of fun but spending several hours at the Geek Bar obtaining one on one advice from experienced bloggers was extremely valuable. This was a great addition to the conference.

It was back to the Hard Rock that afternoon to access our suites, assemble swag bags and attend a pre-con meeting with the hotel’s conference team. Walking onto our rooms adjacent to ginormas terrace and into the Elevation (aka the Glass Box) and seeing the breathtaking views of San Diego, we were beyond speechless.

Setup continued until the sun went down then off to make our rounds to a few parties.
Night two concluded with a night of pampering with Mama Mio! We hosted an intimate group of beauty bloggers at our private suite for a late night post party/conference soiree with Courtage champagne, cake pops and a chance to meet Jill one of the founders of Mama Mio. Jill spoke to everyone individually about the Mama Mio philosophy. Every mom left with a goodie bag filled with product.

I don’t run (I walk my dog, though!), but those wrist wallets are fantastic.
And you looked great in that dress: so pretty!
I think it’s hilarious that you and I only saw each other on the plane ride home. 🙂
