Crocs declares September 28th as the first International Comfort Day after conducting a national survey revealing that the millennial generation (Ages 18-32) experiences more than three uncomfortable social situations per week.
A few fun facts revealed:
- More than half (52-percent) of women surveyed admitted to frequently sacrificing comfort for fashion when it comes to footwear.
- 42-percent of working Americans are not completely comfortable with the clothing that they wear to work.
- The top three comfortable shoes according to women: sneakers other than running shoes (36-percent), flip-flops or sandals (28-percent) and flats (19-percent)
Can’t say I’m surprised. I would guess at least 50% of the shoes in my closet are more fashionable than comfortable. And on most days I’m running around in my running shoes or flip flops.
To celebrate the first International Comfort Day, Crocs is encouraging customers to “Try on a Pair” for a 20% discount. Additionally, Crocs CaresSM will also be donating 15,000 pairs of shoes to help spread some comfort to individuals–in-need. International Comfort Day will be celebrated globally on September 28th at Crocs retail stores in the Americas, EU and Asia.
