Raising two young kids in the city, I know all too well how challenging it can be to find a school that not only makes you comfortable but will stimulate your child’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth. You also want a place that is safe, clean, cutting edge (yes you need to think about technology by Pre-k), but most of all where your kiddo(s) will be happy.
With five locations serving Chicagoland families, The Gardner School is an academically focused and award-winning preschool offering early childhood educational programs for children ranging in ages from 6 weeks to 5 years old (Private Pre-Kindergarten).
Recently I was invited to visit the Naperville location with my youngest daughter to learn more about their educational program. This was E’s first work outing solo (big sis was at school) and she was pretty excited.
While mommy toured the school, E spent time playing music, games and making art.
One of my favorite features was the lobby area equipped with TV monitors. This provides the opportunity for nervous parents to watch in the classroom after drop off or any time during the day. With an open door policy, The Gardner School emphasizes open communication between parents and faculty, encouraging parents to get involved in the classroom and school activities.
A feeding room provides parents a convenient and private location during school hours.
It was clear during our tour that the Gardner School’s state-of-the-art facility goes above and beyond for both parents and students. Hardwood floors, 20 foot ceilings, computer lab, mirrored walls and beautiful child-friendly artwork in every room. What kid wouldn’t fall in love?
The indoor/outdoor playroom was one of my favorite spaces. When it’s cold outside kids can still get tons of activity and when weather permits, the large glass doors open expanding into the playground.
