Serving pizza EVERY Friday night has somehow become a demand and now an expectation in our house. Sassy kid #1 loves pizza, but like most kids only wants cheese and pepperoni. Our favorite local delivery is Lou Malnati’s but I could no longer stand by and watch my oldest pick apart a pizza. Not only is it wasteful, it was driving me crazy. Just eat it already!
My solution? Frozen pizza. It’s become a running joke in our neighborhood but I think it may be catching on.
One would think this would be a simple task of making a selection at our grocer’s freezer. Not so much. It’s a known fact in our family that I am extremely picky about my pizza. If you ask husband he would say I was a pizza snob.
After several attempts with many different brands that produce thin crust, we finally found our winner!

And the winner is……
While we thought Palermo’s was pretty good, it was a little dry for me. Unfortunately, it didn’t have much of a chance when compared to Home Run Inn. Home Run Inn’s buttery crust is to die for and I was shocked at the generous portions of sauce (which is A-MAZING) and cheese. Who knew their sausage was homemade and the pepperoni is nitrate free!
Home Run Inn recently kicked off Pre-Bikini Season with their “Ultra Thin” personal frozen pizza line offering Cheese, Cheese Supreme, Sausage, Sausage and Pepperoni and Margherita pizzas, ranging from 280 to 380 calories per six inch pizza. Like all Home Run Inn products, the Ultra Thin line contains no preservatives or trans fats and is all natural.
Home Run Inn’s Ultra Thin pizza line is not available in restaurants, so head to your grocer’s freezer for this guilt-free slice of heaven. For grocery store listings or Home Run Inn restaurant locations and hours, please visit number one selling frozen pizza brand in the Chicagoland area.
