girls night in (#fashion friday)

Since the cold Chicago weather isn’t leaving any time soon I’ve had to adjust my social calendar and schedule to bring it indoors. Staying stylish when it is very chilly out can be a challenge so layering up is always my go to move. I have typically been a big fan on scarves but when I got this white faux fur vest it took over the top spot on my winter gear.

I love the color and softness of this vest, it is seriously so soft and easy to wear around indoors and when heading out. My favorite part about it is that it comes with a faux leather belt—seriously two of my favorite fabrics paired together! I paired this with a black shirt, leggings and leather over the knee boots to bring out the belt details.

Faux fur and leather have been a big trend this year from fall though the holidays adding a nice texture and pattern to outfits. I’ve have fun this year playing around with these two trends and trying to pair them in different ways.
