I am a big fan of Halloween. I love dressing up, I love the candy, I love the parties and I love all the creative food. Now that we have kids, I can justify “encouraging” my husband to dress up with me.
Last year we were John and Kate Gosselin. I found the Kate wig with the spiked hair at my neighborhood costume store and let’s face it John’s attire was easy. That involved a trip to Marshall’s to purchase an Ed Hardy shirt, skull cap and baggy jeans.
If you followed the clues I posted on Rachel Zoe. Husband is going as Rodger (aka Mr. Rachel Zoe) which is going to be HILARIOUS.

You might be wondering about the sassy kids. Sassy Kid #1 is going as Sleeping Beauty and Sassy Kid #2 is going as a Lions Cheerleader. I didn’t have a choice with Sleeping Beauty. The kid is obsessed with Disney princesses like all the other three year olds on our block.
This weekend is jam packed with Halloween fun in the city. Saturday we are hosting a potluck party curbside with our friends/neighbors and Sunday is our official block party. Everyone hangs outside their building so the kids can trick or treat without knocking on doors.
I am really looking forward to Saturday because I planned my menu weeks ago. Happy Halloween!!
