Is it already time to think about holiday cards? I love the ritual of sending cards but for the past few years haven’t been able to get my act together so we’ve opted out all together. Sorry friends and family.
Personally, sending Happy New Year cards is more my style, giving me time during Christmas break to facilitate. Plus after you’ve taken down the Christmas tree, removed the mistletoe and repurposed your holiday cards, isn’t it nice to be surprised in January with our smiling faces?
This year I’ve decided to turn things around and bring back the family Christmas card. Hopefully we can pull off a family photo (it’s not our strong suit). Hey, I’ve got three months. How hard can it be??
I’m excited to be working with 2013 Holiday Card Collection. Wow! The designs are gorgeous. Choosing just one is going to be very difficult.
After perusing their website, I quickly realized Minted is more than just a card company. Founded in 2007 by Mariam Naficy a mom who wanted to offer the best in stationery design and help talented indie graphic designers get their designs to market. Designs that people do not have access to through traditional retailers.
Mariam came up with the idea to host monthly design challenges for stationery, invitations, calendars, and other categories and invite all graphic designers to participate. Consumers select the best designs and winning designers earn cash prizes, a place in the Minted collection, and commissions on all sales of their designs.
