Shopping is my sport of choice and finding a retailer that has great prices and is a one-stop shop for holiday gifts, it’s on.
Recently, Kohl’s invited me to an event to preview the hottest gifts, fashion and home trends of the season. Prior to that evening, I’ve only shopped at Kohl’s a few times.
Not for any particular reason other than department stores usually overwhelm me.
Wow, have I been missing out. They really do have everything, from toys and games to fashion and technology, making it super easy to find gifts for those hard-to-shop-for family members and friends.
Need a hostess gift, secret Santa and stocking stuffers? You can find thoughtful and unique items for everyone and every age -men, women, kids and all the special people in your life.
After touring the store during the event, we were given a few shopping challenges with a time limit of 20 minutes each. First up – pull together your favorite holiday outfit.
Challenge accepted.
I found this fabulous Jennifer Lopez faux fur vest, strappy sandals from Candie’s, sheer top from ELLE, Rock and Republic mixed media leggings, Simply Vera Wang statement necklace and Jennifer Lopez Veronica Stud Crossbody Handbag.
Next mission – shop for the hardest person to please on our holiday list. Shopping for my mom isn’t always easy but Kohl’s houseware department rocks. You can’t go wrong with Farberware Professional 20 piece cutlery set, Vinturi Aerator Set and Food Network wine glasses. If all else fails, a Kohl’s gift card does the trick.
The last challenge was to shop for our favorite items to create a festive home. Perusing home decor, I found several Nativity sets, candles, vase, frames and a mosaic glass bowl. Yes our family initials spell Tale.
Needless to say I did NOT leave the store empty handed. Since the event I’ve been back three times. Yes, three. Times. Now I’m addicted. The first night I earn $50 in Kohl’s cash and the third trip earned $30.
They make it almost impossible NOT to go back.
