This post is in partnership with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
Ask me about weekend goals and hands down it’s all about staying in, whipping up something in the kitchen and movie night in with the fam. After watching the original Mamma Mia! On Demand a few weeks ago, the girls can’t stop talking about Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again {now available to own on digital, Blu-Ray/DVD October 23rd}!
Can you believe it’s been 10 years since the release of Mamma Mia!??
What better way to celebrate than to plan a Mamma Mia! Movie Night In?? We’re making a healthy Greek inspired menu {AIP, Paleo, Whole 30} that’s easy to prepare so the girls can help in the kitchen!
If we can’t go to Greece, let’s bring Greece to us. Well almost…
Mamma Mia! Movie Night In
To get the party started, we’re partnering with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and making Greek Potatoes {substituting regular white potatoes with white sweet potatoes}, Lamb Sliders with Avo-Ziki and a Tart Cherry Rosemary Spritzer. YUM!
You guys all these recipes are Paleo, AIP, Whole 30, Dairy Free, Gluten-Free, Grain-Free BUT full of flavor.
My Greek friend told me about a popular drink called Vyssinatha {pronounced vee-see-NAH-thah}, a Greek Sour Cherry Cordial. The word “cordial” means a non-alcoholic refreshing drink in many places outside the U.S., a treat during hot weather and it contains no alcohol.
Here’s my take on the Vyssinatha {for kids and adults}…..
Tart Cherry Rosemary Spritzer Recipe

- 2 Rosemary Sprigs
- Club Soda
- Sour Cherry Juice {for kiddie version}
Instructions

- Remove rosemary from the tart cherry juice.
- Fill 2 cocktail glasses with ice, add rosemary infused tart cherry juice evenly between them.
- Add club soda + vodka to each glass, mix and serve with rosemary garnish
- To make a kiddie cocktail mix 2 part sour cherry juice with 1 part club soda + ice.

I’m in route to Maui to meet up with Tim and the girls promised they’d wait until we returned for our official Mamma Mia! Movie Night In. Kinda cool seeing them excited and loving all my favorite ABBA songs.
Fun fact they learned about their parents.. Mamma Mia! was the first Broadway show Tim took me to see in New York. Plus ABBA was my jam growing up.
And if I you have any favorite healthy Greek recipes we should try – please send my way.
