Kicking off the week with an update on my clean beauty detox. Just in case you’re wondering how it’s going, I cannot lie. Transitioning away from toxic beauty products has been a tad bit overwhelming. I mean there’s a reason we are loyal to current beauty brands filled with parabens and nasty chemicals.
Easy access for starters. It’s just so convenient to run to Sephora, Ulta, Walgreens and CVS to grab our coveted mascara, deodorant, concealer….. The list goes on. I feel you – I really do!
I was in denial for sooo long until I just couldn’t ignore the fact that there are over carcinogens or endocrine disrupters which can lead to health problems and wreck havoc on the environment.
The problem with brand loyalty and addicted to convenience? Main stream beauty products and cleaning products are focused on the bottom line, selling products – not my health. No one is advocating on my behalf to stop the madness and keep harmful chemicals out of my favorite products.
Finding replacement products is on me. But I have a solution friends. This is when a monthly subscription box becomes a win-win.
During my recent clean beauty research, I came across Petit Vour Subscription Box and got a little excited because for $15 per month I can try 3-4 vegan, cruelty-free and all natural beauty products.
I wasn’t 100% convinced but for that price it seemed like the risk was worth the investment.
What’s in the Petit Vour Subscription Box?
For the past few months a cute, little pink box arrives in my mailbox featuring a combination of full and travel size products. My first Petit Vour Subscription box was a total score including Blissoma Tonique.
Petit Vour Subscription box #2 included a full size St Tropica Coconut Hot Oil Hair Mask.
After putting these products to the test, I can promise that the Petit Vour Subscription Box is well worth the $15. Even if you only try it for one or two months.
The value of the products far exceeds the subscription box price – which is what I love the most. {TheJuice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Cream Shadow Stick $22.} And the time it’s saving me searching for reputable clean beauty brands is priceless.
The Petit Vour Subscription box also includes a postcard describing each product, how to access full-size versions, 20% discount with every purchase and with the retail price.
I’m obsessed with the Lauren B Nail Polish, Konajac Sponge (you have to get on this beauty train but must match your skin type), AILA Nail Polish Remover (this stuff removed my toxic nail polish easily and one pad covered all 10 toes) and Juice Beauty Cream Shadow Stick in Haze.
I mean why haven’t I been using eyeshadow sticks all my life? This is a game changer when it comes to doing eye makeup. Shhh, don’t tell anyone but I did have to watch a Youtube video because I had no idea how to apply creamy eyeshadow coming from a tube.
Isn’t that why subscription boxes are so fun? We get to try all types of goodies – it’s like Christmas every month!

Neat stuff. Seems like a good idea to start with the sample pack and then you can go out and get what you like in bigger sizes. My wife has 10 million products that she has purchased and ends up not liking, only to die in a drawer somewhere. I’ll point this out to her. Thanks!

I could really use some new beauty supplies! These all look like great products to use.
Jessica Taylor says

Oh cool, I’d like this box. I’d like the $15 cost. I personally wouldn’t spend over $50 on a subscription box.
Beth Davidson says
I don’t have time to deal with a lot of makeup, so that’s my way of being chemically free. 🙂 Do you think any of the boxes in particular would be good for a lazy person (okay, not lazy – busy) like myself?

That’s great you found a relatively inexpensive chemical free box that had good beauty products in it. Unfortunately most companies are bottom line companies and in the long run in order to survive they don’t cater to what is good for us, but what makes them the most profit.

I’ve a big fan of Lauren B. They make great polishes. It is hard to move away from all the chemicals. It takes more work to become aware of cruelty-free and chemical free brands. Luckily, there are subscription boxes out their like Petit Vour that can help introduce you to great new brands.
