We began redesigning my home office last year and Pinterest photos were the inspiration. I wanted something bold, chic and glamorous. Decorating isn’t my forte and the budget was limited.
After finding this home office, I knew teal blue was the way to go. You can do some much with this color and it was definitely bold.
The room for my office is a boring square and in our basement. There was concern for using such a dark color in such a small room with limited natural light. How to avoid creating a “blue box” and how would we create a glamorous retreat? My inspiration photo has much more natural light and hardwood flooring.
Then I found this living room photo using Cutting Edge Stencils, the perfect inexpensive solution to adding glam to any room.
We decided to go with the home office renovation post.
It’s so easy you’ll have a difficult time refraining from stenciling every room. There are a few things to know in advance. But for the most part, it was simple and took less than an hour to apply to one wall.
We are thrilled with the results. I love the paint color and the stencil design is beautiful! The next goal is to finish decorating. Part of me wants to leave the wall as is or find a really cool piece of artwork. What do you think?
Ready to try stenciling? Cutting Edge Stencils is offering 20% on every product through February 15th!
