Today L and I spent the day at the Field Museum checking out the 1893 World’s Fair Exhibit (post to follow about that). We ended our tour with a stop at the Crown Family Play Lab and as we were collecting our coats I noticed a vending machine. Not just any vending machine.
At first glance I assumed it contained food and beverage, even L asked if I would buy her a snack. After taking a closer look I noticed www.nannycaddy.com at the bottom and couldn’t believe it.
Finally someone created a Sassy Solution for Moms: a vending machine that offers diaper bag necessities on the go – disposable diapers, pacifiers, baby wipes, sunblock, diaper cream, pull ups, Tylenol, zippy cups and more!
After traveling with L when she was a few months old in 2007 I was shocked that something like this did not exist in airports. If you can buy Proactive, beauty products, cosemetics and technology in an airport vending machine, how had someone not come up with a baby supplies version. Imagine how many times parents are stranded at the airport when flights are delayed and run out of diapers or food?
I did my research back then but nothing existed. Turns out Nanny Caddy launched in 2008 by a mom who was thinking the same thing expanding into 11 states across the country – IL, Pennsylvania, Texas, Arizona, California, Florida, Ohio, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey and New York.
Most of the locations are museums, zoos, parks and even Legoland in California. Hopefully we’ll see Nanny Caddy in more cities and definitely airports in the near future.
