Ever feel like it’s a full time job keeping up with all the papers your kids bring home from school? This year we finally entered the stage of nightly homework and weekly projects with my oldest.
There are many times I’m the one doing all the work and Google becomes my best friend. As much as I love the convenience of the internet, it’s not always the most efficient way to get my daughter engaged in her own project.
Another resource we’ve been using recently is Netflix. With the variety of TV shows and movies it’s easy to jump start my daughter’s imagination and our entire family can get involved.
If we’re going to spend time in front of the TV I’d rather their minds be stimulated in the process. Science wasn’t my favorite subject but it’s a great way to spark curiosity.
Netflix has a variety of science themed options like these which are a fun way to introduce science and chemistry to kids at an early age.
1. Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius
2. Peep and the Big Wide World
3. Magic School Bus: All Dried Up
4. Animal Mechanicals
5. Wild Kratts
Need science fair inspiration for the big kids? Check out these titles also available on Netflix.
1. How Stuff Works
2. How Do They Do It
3. Is It Possible?
4. Build It Bigger
5. How the Universe Works
6. Extreme Engineering
7. Mythbusters
I am a member of the Netflix Stream Team and will be sharing monthly tips and stories about how my family uses Netflix on a regular basis. As a member of the Stream Team I was provided with a Roku and a voucher to apply towards my Netflix account.
