As much as I love taking care of myself on the outside using the latest beauty products, the inside is just as important. Sleep is a big part of my beauty routine and getting enough is not always my strength. Being a night owl, I love burning the midnight oil.
It seems to run in the family. Hubs has sleepless nights and my youngest daughter can’t settle down before bed or stay asleep either.
Thankfully we’ve found Sleepy Time Blend using essential oils really helps restless nights.
Since being diagnosed with adrenal fatigue, I’m trying to get more sleep – at least 8 hours per night. That becomes a difficult task when my mind won’t shut off and I’m trying to catch up on all the things that weren’t accomplished during the day. For awhile evenings were when I would write and feel the most inspired, however being on the computer at night is not something I can do any longer.
Struggling with hormone and thyroid issues, it’s so important to get adequate sleep to manage stress, my mental state and overall health. Staying up until 2 am to work had to stop – it’s just not healthy.
The Sleepy Time Blend that combines Serenity and Vivetier essential oils along with Fractionated Coconut Oil prepared in a glass roller bottle (as seen in the photo below) has been a life saver.
My husband and I along with our youngest daughter all apply at the bottom of our feet prior to bedtime each evening. We even travel with it!
Let me tell you – this stuff works wonders. At first I was skeptical but now we’re all addicted and use religiously.
We also added a natural sleep supplement in addition to the essential oils that helps us stay asleep which I highly recommend. {Please consult your doctor before taking any supplement!}
How to Make Sleepy Time Blend
- 20 Drops Serenity
- 7 drops Vetiver
- Fill remainder of glass roller ball with Fractionated Coconut Oil. Shake until blended.
You may find several alternative Sleepy Time Blend recipes on Pinterest, but this one does the trick for us. Some people claim this particular blend is great for preventing freak outs and keeping calm.
It’s important to note that blending these oils requires using a glass roller bottle which are very inexpensive. You can purchase 18 bottles for under $10 on Amazon here.
We’ve been using essential oils for almost two years. If you have any questions or interest in learning more about the type and brand of oils I use contact me or comment below!
