Happy St Patrick’s Day! The city is such a fun place to be, Chicagoans really know how to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Years ago when I lived in Dallas a group of friends would fly here for the weekend, hosting our own Pub Crawl. That’s when I truly fell in love with the city.
We may have kids but we still love to celebrate. Our school hosted a St Paddy’s Day family party by renting a private room near the river, hiring bag pipers, food, drinks and lots of space for the kids to run around.
We had the best intentions to see the dyeing of the river and the parade but our private party was too difficult to leave. While the weather wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t warm enough to leave our cozy spot.
The girls didn’t seem to mind because the remainder of the weekend was spent at the Four Seasons (more on our visit this week).
